Youth Fun Day on Saturday, March 25, in Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE – A Youth Fun Day, free for kids ages 17 and younger, will be held Saturday, March 25, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Grangeville Elks Lodge, 111 South Meadow Street. Games and prizes will be featured, along with bicycle safety and drug awareness programs from the Grangeville Police Department. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Join committee to save Old Opera House Theatre in Kooskia

Senior Fun Night breakfast set for this Sunday, March 19

GRANGEVILLE – The Eagles Breakfast for Grangeville High School’s Senior Fun Night is set for Sunday, March 19, 7 a.m. to noon. Stop in and support the class of 2017. Funds will be used for Senior Fun Night following graduation.

Bingo set for Kamiah this Thursday

KAMIAH – American Legion Post No. 75 will host Bingo this Thursday, March 16, 7:30 p.m., at the American Legion Hall at 618 Main Street.

Chocolate Fantasy is Saturday

GRANGEVILLE – Sts. Peter and Paul School’s annual Chocolate Fantasy auction is set for Saturday, March 18, at the school gym. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6 p.m. Also included will be desserts and champagne with a live auction at 7:30 p.m. Dinner will be catered by Stephanie Duclos with “A Taste of Art.”

Cost is $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door. Tickets are available at Lindsley’s Home Furnishings, Irwin Drug and the school.

Grangeville VFD reunion dinner on tap for April 1

GRANGEVILLE – The Grangeville All Firemen Reunion Dinner is set for Saturday, April 1, at the Eagles (C Street) at 6:30 p.m. To RSVP call Grangeville City Hall at 983-1380.

All past and present GVFD firemen and their families are invited to a reunion dinner. Meat will be provided; bring a salad or dessert to share and a beverage of choice.

Miniature art sale set for March 18

WHITE BIRD — The Salmon River Art Guild is hosting its annual March Miniature Madness Show and Sale on Saturday, March 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (PST) at Hoot’s Cafe in White Bird. Admission is free. This is a great opportunity to come visit the artists and enjoy/purchase the artwork, which includes paintings, ceramics, textiles, cards and more. All items are “miniature” in size and are priced at $50 or less. Contact:

County orchestra seeks members

Do you play a stringed (or other C) instrument? The Idaho County Orchestra is looking for new members. They describe themselves as a fun group of people who enjoy playing music together. They rehearse once a week, Thursdays at 7 p.m., at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, 515 W. N. 2nd Street. Those who are interested feel free to stop by on a Thursday evening.

Queen tryouts are March 18

WHITE BIRD – White Bird Rodeo will host its queen tryouts Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m. (PST).

Young women between the ages of 14 and 18 residing in Adams, Idaho, Lewis, Nezperce and Valley counties are invited to try out.
