Three public entities are seeking funding through Idaho Department of Environmental Quality for planned wastewater and drinking water construction projects. Public comment on these proposals is due April 14.
The City of Grangeville is seeking a $65,000 wastewater planning grant to address infiltration and inflow problems, and to evaluate the collection system. Total cost of the city project is $130,000.
Two public projects are requesting loans for wastewater system projects through DEQ:
The Elk City Water and Sewer Association is seeking a $1 million loan for the total project cost on repair or replacement of collection lines, replacing a lift station, rehabilitating lagoons, implementing a tertiary treatment process and purchasing land.
The City of White Bird is seeking a $100,000 loan on a $2.5 million project for collection system repair, treatment and disposal improvements.
Final funding decisions will be announced in May.
