ICARE to host barn dance

KAMIAH — “ICARE” will host a barn dance and pie contest in Kamiah Saturday, March 25, at the American Legion Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m., and music at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 each.

ICARE, Inc (Cancer Assistance and Recovery Effort) is now nine years old and continues with success to impact people in the Clearwater River communities who are actively undergoing treatment for cancer.

The pie contest is free to enter. A chicken fajita salad bar will be served in addition to a silent auction, spinning wheel, raffles and games. This year will also be a jam session with the band Beargrass providing classic country music. Musicians should bring their own instruments.

Donations may be sent to ICARE, 2134 Canyon Creek Road, Orofino, ID 83544 or call us and we could pick up any items you would like to donate for the auction.

ICARE operates with 100 percent volunteer leadership and management. Supporters throughout the past nine years have enabled the group to help 201 people, issue $93,400, and continue helping friends, neighbors and families. The assistance given is a one-time $500 “Gift of Love” meant to show support from the hearts of many as one travels their journey through cancer.

For information about ICARE, call 476-5971 or in Kamiah 935-7919.
