Elk City News: Library fund-raiser on tap for April 14

Jamie Edmondson Elk City 842-2452

As mentioned briefly last week, the Friends of the Elk City Library are again sponsoring a beer and wine tasting event Friday, April 14, at the Elk City Laundromat, doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be appetizers served, their famous silent auction and lots of tasting to do. There may even be some new surprises this year, so plan on attending. All proceeds will be donated to the School District 244 library budget to support the Elk City Community and School Library. Even if you don’t consume alcohol, you can support the library with your donations or come and bid at the silent auction. If you have donations, contact Sue Phillips, 842-2359 or leave them at the Elk City School.

Notice: The Elk City Community Library will be closed Wednesday, March 29, due to the school being closed for spring break.

Just a reminder: The Community Easter Dinner will be on Sunday, April 16, at the VFW from 1-3 p.m. Ham, rolls, green beans, dessert are provided. There is no cost - just bring a dish to share.

Birthdays: Sue Phillips, Sage Stibal, and Ashlee Lamar.
