Pioneer Senior Citizens gather

— Agnes Forsman opened the May 9 meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance and Dolores VonBargen gave the dinner prayer. Guests were Nan and Dan Olk of Nezperce. There were 58 meals served and 25 takeouts. Buddy Hood won the free dinner. Agnes Forsman won the nickel Bingo pot and Marianne Wren won the blackout. Door prize winners were Bob Talbott, Lorene Nightingale, Eleanor Hinkelman, Mary Ann Kuther, Nan Olk and Dolores Kindall.

Seniors wanting to go to Lewiston to shop or to doctor’s appointments and don’t want to drive should call Coast driver, Katie Manifold at 456-4090.

Meals are Tuesdays in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement, noon.

Menu for May 23: Ground Beef Stroganoff w/Noodles, Steamed Broccoli & Carrots, Orange Wedge, Breadstick, Rainbow Sherbet. This is also the birthday meeting and the Fiddlers will be here. To order meals delivered, call City Hall at 962-3231.
