Are you looking for a taste of old-fashioned fun? Check out the 29th annual Harpster Community Craft Fair and Lunch this Saturday.

The event will be held at the Harpster Community Building Saturday, Nov. 4, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 208-983-1436 for details.

“Each year the money raised is used to maintain the building for our community,” said one of the organizers, Jan Adams. The building is used for the community’s old-fashioned Christmas program, set for Dec. 17, 4 p.m., this year, among other community activities and meetings.

Lunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and sloppy joes, sausage hot dogs and soup will be available as well as desserts. Meals are $4.50, soup is $3.50, pie/desserts $2.50, pop/water are $1 and coffee is free,

Vendors slots are sold out and will include original wire wrapped jewelry, fancy canned foods and chocolates, hand-sewn aprons, pot holders and casserole dish covers, baked breads and other goodies, leather products, wooden pumpkins and canned goods, crocheted hats and miscellaneous items, gourd art carvings, Christmas ornaments and decorations, doTERRA essential oils, Avon products, Tupperware antler art and emu lotions and soaps.

A 50-50 drawing will be held as well as drawing for a variety of prizes. Tickets are $1 apiece and can be purchased the day of the fair. Drawings set for 2:30; need not be present to win.

Prizes include a turkey certificate from Cash and Carry Foods, basket with picture frames and candle from Irwin Drug, coffee items w/$20 gift card from One For The Road Coffee Shop, Dewalt tool box from.CHS Primeland, holiday napkins from Karen Ruff, fire agate ring and pendant from J&K Rock & Gem, party lights and patio torch from Ace Home Center, silver plated napkin rings from Walker’s Jewelry, Old Timer Knife from B & B Bargain, wine and snack basket from Asker’s Harvest Foods, antler barbecue set from Idaho Antler Art, horn mounting kit and knife sharpener from Dale and Jill’s Sporting Goods, mini milk house heater from Stites Hardware, voucher for two steak dinners from Harpster Store and RV, a Black and Decker large capacity toaster oven from and (separate prize) a 12-cup Mr. Coffee coffee maker from Mackay Bar Ranch.
