Cadet Cochran Makes Parachute Touchdown

Drew Cochran of Cottonwood hit the Michie Stadium 50-yard line spot-on at the Nov. 11 football game between Duke University and U.S. Military Academy West Point. Cochran is a West Point cadet, who entered in 2014, and will graduate in May 2018, a commissioned 2nd lieutenant. He is a member of the West Point Parachute Team, which does demonstrations as well as participates in intercollegiate competitions in Florida and Arizona. This was jump number 624 for Cochran. The team is currently practicing to jump into Metlife Stadium for the Thanksgiving Day game between the Panthers and the Jets, depending on the weather. Drew is the son of Terry and Jennifer Cochran of Cottonwood.
