Grangeville Lions members recently helped unload the Christmas trees at Green Acres and Cash and Carry Marketplace. This volunteer effort raises money for the Lions' scholarships to Grangeville High School students. Pictured are (L-R) Lions Justin DeFord, Todd Yocum and Jeff Blackmer. Lions Dave Wimer, Paul Eimers, Fred Stevens (and his son, Warren) and Jim Schmidt also helped with unloading. These trees are now available at Cash and Carry and Green Acres in Grangeville, and Lions members will be helping out at Green Acres each weekend Saturday, Nov. 25, through Dec. 17. The trees, which are Grand Fir out of Sandpoint, range 5' to 9' in height, with pricing as follows: red tag (5'-6') $39, yellow tag (6'-7') $49, green tag (7'-8') $59 and white tag (8'-plus) $69.

GRANGEVILLE •The Grangeville Lions Club’s annual Christmas Tree sale starts Saturday, Nov. 25, at Green Acres and continues every weekend through Dec. 17. Proceeds support the scholarships the club provides to GHS students who take their educations to the next level. Last year’s successful Christmas Tree sale and the club’s other fund-raisers allowed the Grangeville Lions to provide three $2,000 scholarships for GHS graduates. The tree sale is located at Green Acres and runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 17.
