Prayer time set for Saturday, Dec. 9

GRANGEVILLE – The community is invited to gather for prayer with brothers and sisters in Christ at the Soltman Center (across Main Street from the hospital) in Grangeville at 9 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 9.

In addition, those who would like to share and discuss ideas for the observance of the National Day of Prayer in May, the group will meet for that purpose at 8 a.m.

GHS Class of 2018 Senior Fun Night ‘Shopping Spree’ tickets for sale

GRANGEVILLE – Seniors and senior parents for Grangeville High School’s class of 2018 are currently selling raffle tickets for a chance at five $1,000 shopping sprees.

The $50 tickets are limited – just 200 will be sold. Five winners will be drawn the end of November for a $1,000 shopping spree, good at any business in Idaho County.

All proceeds go toward the GHS Senior Fun Night safe and sober graduation party in May.

Bingo scheduled for Friday in Kamiah

KAMIAH – Bingo will be played this Friday, Dec. 1, at Kamiah’s American Legion Hall, 618 Main Street, 7:30 p.m. Concessions will be available.

GEMS book fair is this week, next week

GRANGEVILLE — The Grangeville Elementary Middle School Library will be hosting its annual winter book fair on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and the week of Dec. 4 through 8.

The book fair weekly hours will be from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. The book fair will also be open during the elementary winter concert Dec. 6, and will close early on Friday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. This year proceeds will go toward helping acquire more technology for the library in order to teach research and information literacy skills.
