Grangeville Senior Citizens

The November 20th meeting of the Grangeville Senior Citizens was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Roy Powell. The prayer was given by Nancy Winkler. There were 95 meals served at the site and 41 hot and 55 frozen meals home delivered. There were no guests this day. Pinochle Winners: 1st, Beth Parish with 3,640 and 2nd, Jane Burgess.

Menu for Dec. 1st: Happy Birthday Meal: Spaghetti & Meat Sauce, Green Salad, Garlic Bread, Peaches and Spice Cake.

Menu for Dec. 4th: Stuffed Cabbage (Hamburger, Rice, Tomato Sauce), Peas, Green Salad, Roll and Pears.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Agnes Forsman opened the November 21st. meeting of the Pioneer Senior Citizens with the Pledge of Allegiance. Agnes also led the dinner prayer.

There were no guests this week.

There were 40 meals served with 24 takeouts.

Agnes Forsman won the free meal.

Diane Schultz and Leslie Graham each shared a joke with the group.

Katie Remacle won both the nickel Bingo pot and the blackout.

Door prizes were won by Vera Holthaus, Peg Uhlorn, Diane Schultz, Ralph Sprute, Chet Fergason and Sylvia Forsmann.

Seniors wanting to go to Lewiston to shop or to doctor’s appointments and don’t want to drive, call Coast driver Katie Manifold, 509-397-2935.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at 12 noon.

Meatloaf, Carrots, Mashed Potatoes, Chilled Pears.
