Halloween Trunk or Treat event set; donations sought

GRANGEVILLE – The annual Halloween Trunk or Treat event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m., at the Idaho County Courthouse back parking lot.

Children are invited to participate in this trick-or-treat event by going “trunk to trunk” in a family friendly atmosphere as part of a safe-and-sane Halloween program

The event is free to all Idaho county residents. Those who want to help with the event with donations of candy or prizes, drop these off at the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO).

The event is presented by ICSO along with Grangeville police and fire departments, Syringa Hospital ambulance crew, and area businesses.

Meal center luncheon is Oct. 4

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday, Oct. 4, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 926-7776.

Harpster craft fair set for Nov. 4

HARPSTER – Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 4, for Harpster’s 29th annual craft fair. This is set for the Harpster Community Building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 208-983-1436 for details.

American Legion to meet Oct. 4

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville American Legion Post 37 will have the October meeting tonight, Wednesday, Oct. 4, 7 p.m., at the Idaho County Veterans Outreach and Community Center. All community Veterans are welcome. For information contact Post Adjutant Don Owen at 208-983-1191.

Clearwater Chili Feed set for Oct. 14

CLEARWATER — The community of Clearwater is celebrating fall with the sixth annual Grange Chili Feed Saturday, Oct.14. Proceeds support grange activities. All are welcome. Come to Clearwater Grange Hall, on Sally Ann Rd. between 4:30-7 p.m. and join the fun.

The menu will be chili with all the trimmings, corn bread, desserts, and beverages. Donations will be taken for the meal. A silent auction will also be held that evening.

The Elk City Wagon Road Museum will be open during the event. Donations of food are needed. Call Carol Bonanno at 208-926-7465.

Bingo set for Friday in Kamiah

KAMIAH – American Legion Post No. 75 will host Bingo this Friday, Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m., in Kamiah, at the American Legion Hall, 618 Main Street.
