GRANGEVILLE A familiar face has taken over at Grangeville Health and Rehabilitation. Ryan Beckman is the facility’s new administrator.
“I grew up in these halls, running around here when my parents worked here,” he smiled. He is the son of Bob and Betty Beckman of Grangeville.
Beckman graduated from Grangeville High School in 1998. He attended the University of Idaho where he studied human resources. He has lived in the Portland/Vancouver and Boise areas, and was offered a job by Advanced Health Care, which owns GHR.
“I have been involved in management and am now very excited to be back in this area and at this job,” he said. “It’s like family here.”
Bob Beckman is still involved with GHR in a variety of ways, including helping with the annual Toy Scramble during the Fourth of July.
“My aunt is also a resident here at GHR,” Ryan Beckman said.
Beckman is married to Amanda and they have two children: Malcom is 7 and Olivia is 3.
“I look forward to raising my family here and being involved in this community,” he said.
He said his wife grew up in an Air Force family, and they are both excited to make their home in Grangeville.
“I am glad to be able to let my kids have some of the same experiences I had growing up,” he said. “I have missed Grangeville. This literally is coming home.”
Beckman said he is impressed by the fact GHR is a family-centered facility.
“We’re a part of this community and we love to have people in here to visit our residents, volunteer and just see what we have going on,” he said.
Advanced Health Care purchased GHR in 2013. AHC owns and operates facilities in seven states. Although GHR provides long-term care with its nursing home, a large part of the facility is transitional rehabilitative services.
Resident suites, five-star dining and 24-hour skilled nursing care is available as well as physical and occupational therapy on-site.
