Miss Maddie many years ago! She said, “and I did my own makeup!” She’ll be 9 years old on Friday.

LOWELL / SYRINGA We have some nice big bucks hanging from the cabin decks, so the hunters are having good luck early in the season.
Our electricity was out for 12 hours during this last weekend. I hate it when that happens; telephones out, too!
The roofers working at Fenn are finished, headed back to Oregon.
Lara Smith of Lowell is attending an Idaho Travel Council meeting in Coeur d’Alene this week; dinners, meetings overlooking the lake. Somebody’s got to do it!
Jim and Diane Gardiner have been enjoying the fall up on the Selway River Road. Diane is recovering from foot surgery. Always upbeat, they are fun neighbors!
Two big birthdays coming up in the Smith family: Miss Maddie turns 9 on Friday, Oct. 20, and her father Mike is 49 on Saturday, Oct. 21.
So that’s it: dead deer, roofers, foot surgery, power out, birthdays, meetings, oh and still helicopters logging up across the Selway River!
