Knights Of Columbus Donate Coats: Grangeville YWCA advocate Kristy Beckstead recently received a donation of brand new boys and girls coats donated by the Sts. Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus group, represented by Jerry Johnston (pictured here with Beckstead). Coats will be given to local children in need. Soccer camp set for Nov. 10 at GEMS

GRANGEVILLE – As part of her senior project, Grangeville High School varsity soccer player Brenda Gomez will host a soccer camp Friday, Nov. 10, 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Grangeville Elementary Middle School. The camp is for students who are in public, private or home-school in kindergarten through fourth grade.

Harpster craft fair set for Saturday, Nov. 4

HARPSTER – Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 4, for Harpster’s 29th annual craft fair. This is set for the Harpster Community Building from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 208-983-1436 for details.

Mystery Night set for Nov. 4 at Greencreek; tickets on sale

GREENCREEK — Put on your favorite blue jeans and your bling as 20 years of Summit Academy memories are celebrated with the theme of “Denim & Diamonds,” Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Greencreek Hall.

One ticket holder will walk away with the grand prize of $10,000.

The grand prize is redeemable at any of the sponsors: Lindsley’s Home Furnishings and Appliance, Sonnen Meats, Les Schwab Tire-Grangeville, B&A Performance Auto, Intermountain Feed & Mercantile, Hoene Hardware, Chesky Woodworking and Cottonwood Foods. In addition to the prize-packed elimination raffle, a live and silent auction take place throughout the evening.

Admission for two is $125 and includes dinner and the chance to win the grand prize. Tickets are available from any Summit family or from the school office at 208-962-5650. Remember, diamonds are forever, but Mystery Night tickets are going fast.

Square dance lessons set for Kooskia

KOOSKIA – The Mountain Dewers Square Dancers are taking new members (all ages) for lessons through this week. Lessons are held at Clearwater Valley Middle School each Saturday at 6 p.m. Regular square dances are held the second and fourth Saturdays of each month at 7:30 p.m.

GRANGEVILLE – Border Days 2018’s street sports, parades and rodeos will all be held Wednesday, July 4, Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6.

Streets sports will be at 9 a.m. each day, parades at 2 p.m., and rodeos at 6 p.m.

Cross Country Cowboy Fellowship set for Oct. 28

GRANGEVILLE — Cross Country Cowboy Fellowship will be meeting this Saturday, Oct. 28, 6 p.m., in the Porter’s fellowship barn at 43 Whitetail Drive, south of Grangeville. Dinner, dance, auction set to support ‘Sr. Mary’s Children’

GREENCREEK — Sister Mary’s Children invites the public to a Chair-ity Dinner and Dance to support the children and community loved by Cottonwood native Sister Mary Paulé Tacke. This is set for Friday, Nov. 10, 6 - 9 p.m., Greencreek Community Hall.

Tickets are $15 per person and include live music, food, beer, wine and an auction.

Ridge Runner breakfast, garage sale to be held this weekend

KOOSKIA — Ridge Runner Fire Department is having a breakfast and garage sale at City Hall in Kooskia this Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For $5, breakfast with eggs, pancakes, coffee and juice will be offered. Clearwater Meal Center luncheon set for Nov. 1

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater Meal Center’s next luncheon is set for Wednesday Nov. 1, noon. Meals are served the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Clearwater Baptist Church. No charge for the luncheon, $5 donation appreciated when possible. All are welcome. Call 208-926-7776.

Harvest soup supper set for Oct. 28 in Kamiah

KAMIAH — The Annual Harvest Soup Supper will be served at Faith Lutheran Church at 6th and Idaho streets in Kamiah Saturday, Oct. 28. Serving hours are 5 to 7 p.m. A variety of soups, desserts along with bread and refreshments will be provided. Funds generated by this help support the area Emergency Feeding Outreach (EFO) program which provides emergency food at no cost to folks who just need a little help.

STITES – The Gospel Lighthouse in Stites will be host to a community hymn sing Sunday, Oct. 29, 5:30 p.m. All are invited.

Winter hats, gloves sought for senior project

GRANGEVILLE — Do you have winter hats and gloves you don’t have a use for? Grangeville High School senior Anthony Nadiger’s senior project includes collecting these items for local kids in need.

Collection boxes are currently located at GHS, Cash and Carry Marketplace, Asker’s Harvest Foods, and Larson’s. Boxes will be out until Nov. 10.

Grangeville community hymn sing set for Oct. 29

GRANGEVILLE – The Fifth Sunday Community Hymn Sing will be held at the Grangeville Gospel Tabernacle Sunday, Oct. 29, 6 p.m. Offering will be taken for the Traveler’s Aid Fund. For a special musical number to be provided by your church, notify Joyce Wikoff at 208-983-1047.
