As of Tuesday, September 5, 2017
GRANGEVILLE Dr. Kim Campbell has been practicing in Orofino for the past five years and recently made the move to Syringa Hospital and Clinics.
“I’ve done some moonlighting in the E.R. and got the chance to work with the staff and get a feel for the community, and I was impressed,” said the family medicine doctor. She started Aug. 28 and is accepting new patients.
Campbell grew up in California and Michigan and studied biochemistry and music in college. She attended the University of Washington and completed residency in Duluth, Minn.
“I enjoy rural medicine and getting to know patients over time and the continuing care I can give them,” explained Campbell, who lives in Nezperce.
She and her husband, Joe, a K-12 music teacher at Nezperce, have two children: Orin, 7, and Ailie, 5.
“I like that people in small towns seem to look out for one another,” Campbell emphasized.
Campbell will be in the primary care clinic in Grangeville three days a week and will spend one day a week – Thursdays – in the Kooskia Clinic.
She and her family enjoy fishing, travel, cooking, eating and music.
“I’m really excited to be here,” Campbell said. “I look forward to meeting more people.”
