Catholic evangelist to speak in Cottonwood Sept. 11-14

COTTONWOOD –Richard Lane, EWTN personality and internationally renowned Catholic evangelist will speak Monday through Thursday, Sept. 11-14, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cottonwood. Each night begins at 7 p.m.

The event is entitled “From Dust to Glory” and chronicles the journey from the dust of beginning through the desert struggle and to heavenly glory.

Prayer meeting set for Sept. 9 in Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE – Area people are invited to gather for prayer at the Soltman Center (across Main Street from Syringa Hospital) in Grangeville at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Wasem to speak at Encouragers Sept. 7

GRANGEVILLE — Sarah Wasem will share at the Encouragers Thursday, Sept. 7, 11:30 a.m., luncheon at Oscar’s Restaurant.

Wasem, and husband, Wayne, have served in missions since 1984 and 1994. They spend about six months overseas each year. In the Philippines, they oversee 16 churches and training events and also assist other ministries. They travel to Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, ministering to pastors and leaders. They often visit Costa Rica before heading to Asia each year.

The Wasems are based in Kamiah, where they operated an electrical business and pastored for several years.

Encouragers meets at 101 E Main in Grangeville for Christian fellowship and a no-host luncheon on the first Thursday of each month. All are welcome.

Cornerstone Christian accepting applications

GRANGEVILLE — Cornerstone Christian Learning Center, an outreach of the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, is now accepting registration for preschool through second grade for the 2017-18 school year. School started Tuesday, Sept. 6. For information call Mary Bales at 208-899-2962 or 208-983-0029. Registration packets can also be picked up at the church, 515 W. N. 2nd Street.
