Grangeville Life Chain event set for Oct. 1

— Angela Riener, Abundant Life Ministries and Grangeville Life Chain coordinator, is organizing the 2017 Grangeville Life Chain, part of National Life Chain Sunday, set for Oct. 1. This is the area’s eighth annual event.

The purpose of the event, the literature states, is to “provide a visual statement of solidarity by our local Christian community that abortion is grievously wrong and that the church Christ founded is opposed to the unmerciful killing of our preborn children.”

Riener explained the event gives a voice to the preborn and supports the sanctity of human life “from the moment of conception to natural death.”

Those interested in participating in this nondenominational event are invited to meet in Heritage Square at 2 p.m. to receive signs and instructions.

The National Life Chain Sunday began in California 30 years ago and is now widely spread throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Those with questions can call Riener at 208-451-4715 or e-mail
