Investigation continues into last week’s fatality crash at Woodland that claimed the life of an Oregon woman.
Tracy Schiedler, 42, of Portland, died at the scene of injuries suffered in the crash.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the Sept. 12 single-vehicle accident reported on Woodland Road – a half-mile south of Harrisburg Road — last Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to information from the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) and Idaho State Police. Reported around 6:48 p.m., Cord Wilson, 26, of Paul, Idaho, was driving a Chevrolet pickup with passengers Schiedler, an unidentified juvenile, and Alicia Crume, 40, of Kamiah northbound on Woodland Road. Approximately eight miles from U.S. Highway 12, Wilson lost control of the vehicle that went off the road and traveled around 150 feet down an embankment.
Wilson was transported by Life Flight to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, and the juvenile was taken by ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino. Crume refused medical treatment. Schiedler was taken to Trenary’s Funeral Home.
None of the passengers was wearing a seat belt.
Emergency responders included Glenwood Caribel QRU, Kamiah Ambulance and ICSO.
