Kooskia man charged with felony DUI

— A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, Sept. 21, for a Kooskia man charged with felony DUI.

According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO), David L. Cobb, 24, was arrested Sept. 9 by Corporal Craig Hoodman following a traffic stop on an equipment violation on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 72. While talking with Cobb, Hoodman suspected that Cobb had been drinking and had him perform standardized field sobriety tests. Cobb was then arrested for felony DUI.

During the contact, Hoodman observed an untagged deer carcass in the back of Cobb’s pickup and requested an Idaho Department of Fish and Game Officer to respond. IDFG seized the deer and is handling that investigation.
