Elk City News: Bake sale set for Oct. 5

Jamie Edmondson Elk City 842-2452

— Need some type of medical equipment, i.e., wheel chair, walker, cane, etc., for a short period of time but don’t want to or can’t afford to buy it? The Elk City Area Alliance (ECAA) has some that can be loaned out to members of the Elk City/Dixie/Orogrande/Red River area communities. Have some usable medical equipment that you don’t want anymore? You can donate it to the ECAA and it will be made available to loan out to other community/area members. Are you storing usable medical equipment for community use that you need to find another home for? The ECAA has storage facilities. If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, call Jamie Edmondson at 842-2452 to arrange for usage or pickup of the equipment.

Don’t forget that the Elk City Area Alliance will be having a fund-raiser bake sale on Oct 5 and a pie sale for Thanksgiving (the date will be announced later). If you have donations of baked goods, contact Patricia Menough or bring them on the day of the sale. Any donations will be greatly appreciated to help support the costs associated with the Medical Clinic, the Elk City Park and restrooms, and the Elk City Airport among other projects.

Meetings: Water & Sewer on the 3rd.

Birthdays: Ronan McManus, Rose Sherrer
