Save the date: April 29, for the 4th Annual Purse Auction to benefit the victims of domestic and sexual abuse in Idaho County. Shane Arnzen will be busy auctioning off more than 120 items. We also have filled purses that will be a treat for anyone. A $5 pulled pork lunch with all the trimmings begins at noon with the live auction starting at 2 p.m. We will have a short talk by one of the clients to tell you how their life was changed by getting help from our local YWCA. Come early and view the items, eat a great lunch and help us raise money for our local families. 100 percent of the proceeds stays in Idaho County. If you are unable to attend, but would like to bid on an item or need information, contact Colleen Sonnen at 208-962-7049.

Mega Kudos to the Tri-parish people who donated so generously to the Cottonwood Food Bank these last 40 Days and also throughout the year. It is such a welcome sight to see our shelves full and be able to give everything on our list, plus a few extras. Being a small town and operating strictly from donations shows what a thoughtful, generous little community we have, one to be proud to be part of. Note from the Food Bank Volunteers.
