— Kamiah Elementary School will hold its kindergarten screening and registration for 2018-19 students April 26 and 27.

Students must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2018. Call 208-935-4012 immediately to make an appointment.

Bring child’s immunization record, legal birth certificate and Social Security card. These will be copied and returned. The school nurse will be available to check immunization records and make sure they meet Idaho requirements for entrance to school as well as answer questions.

Children registering will receive a free book as part of Kamiah Elementary Library’s “Get a Jump Start on Reading @ Your Library” program.

KES offers a story time and reading activities on a weekly basis for all kindergarten classes throughout the school year. The program is sponsored by the KES library, Read to Me, a service from the Commission for Libraries, through a grant from U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Governor’s Executive office for Families and Children.
