— Well, so much for my prediction about an early spring. Winter does not seem to want to let go. But we do have something to celebrate. Elred Nuxoll’s birthday is April 18, so let’s all wish him a “Happy Birthday.”

Do you like sourdough pancakes, homemade syrup, eggs, sausage and great company? The Haiti team is hosting its final fund-raiser for the 2018 mission trip. The breakfast is after the 8 a.m. Mass in the Sacred Heart room at St. Mary’s on April 22. We will serve until 12:30 p.m. So, mark your calendars and bring your families for this yummy breakfast and thank you for your support!

April 29th is the 4th Annual Purse Auction to benefit the victims of domestic and sexual abuse in Idaho County. More than 120 items will be busy auctioning off, as well as some filled purses. A $5 pulled pork lunch is at noon with the live auction starting at 2 p.m. Come and help us raise money for our local families. 100 percent of the proceeds stays in Idaho County. If you are unable to attend but would like to bid on an item or need more information, contact Colleen Sonnen at 208-962-7049.

First Communion for the 2nd graders in our parish will be April 29 at 10 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Cottonwood. Just for that weekend, Mass in Greencreek will be at 8 a.m.

Hope Center Walk For Life will be Saturday, May 12, in Grangeville, a fund-raiser for the Hope Centers in Grangeville and Kamiah. It starts at Sts. Peter & Paul Parish Hall at 8:30 a.m. for free breakfast, then registration begins at 9 am. www.HopeCenterGrangeville.org

Idaho Family Camp 2018 is July 19-22, our 12th Annual Family Camp! Registration is open now. Join families in the wilderness of Idaho to share faith, to be together as family, and to have lots of fun! https://idahofamilycamp.org
