— The local community outreach team, Reaching Men, will be host to a free barbecue in Grangeville’s Pioneer Park Saturday, Aug. 11, 5 to 8 p.m.

The event will feature Nashville recording artist Johnny Rowlett.

“This is meant for the whole family with free food, live music and fun activities for kids,” said organizer Michael Stevens.

Rowlett is a singer/songwriter with the Inspirational Country Music Association who has been voted 2016 and 2018 Music Evangelist of the Year. Along with top five nominations for Video of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, he has had four top five singles. His songs, “The Truth Is,” and “Old Mustang,” went to number one on the Powersource Nashville charts.

Rowlett travels across the country fulltime, along with his wife Gale, as a recording artist and inspirational speaker. He talks about hope, grace and the restoration nature of the Lord. His message displays the importance of having a deep non-superficial relationship with God that allows people to be whole and complete “so that God can use us fully to reach the lost with his message.”
