GRANGEVILLE Erin Placzek of Grangeville was presented with this year’s $1,000 Sharon Clark Nursing Scholarship by PEO Chapter BV.
Placzek will be attending Lewis-Clark State College in Fall 2018 where she will be working toward her registered nurse’s degree. She is a 2007 graduate of Grangeville High School and is the daughter of Karl and Debbie Urquhart.
Sharon Rupe Clark, sister of Eldene Wasem, graduated from Grangeville High School in 1953. Receiving a scholarship from the Soroptimists helped her complete her nursing degree. She said giving the scholarship to a nursing student is her way of paying it forward. She lives in LaFayette, Calif., but still considers Grangeville home.
PEO’s focus is to provide educational opportunities to women.
