Sex offender arrested for failure to update registration

KOOSKIA -- Brandon L. Case, 38, of Kooskia, was arrested July 20 for “duty to update sex offender registration information,” according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO).

Case is a registered sex offender who had been evicted from his place of residence and did not update his address with ICSO, as required by Idaho Code 18-8309.

Grangeville man arrested for meth, marijuana possession

KOOSKIA – Daniel J.H. Flores, 28, of Grangeville, was arrested July 23 on charges of possession of methamphetamine (felony) and misdemeanors possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office.

That Monday at approximately 2:30 a.m., Sergeant Craig Hoodman contacted the occupant of a vehicle parked at the Weigh Station at the junction of Highway 12 and Highway 13.

During the contact, Hoodman could smell the odor of marijuana and asked the occupant, Flores, if there was any marijuana in the vehicle. Flores admitted there was marijuana in the vehicle in addition to drug paraphernalia.

Hoodman located the marijuana and paraphernalia, in addition to methamphetamine, and placed Flores into custody.
