— Donn Gibbs and Kelly Brooks stopped by my cabin to drop off some huckleberry cheesecake. Best neighbors ever, always out and about hiking, biking, picking mushrooms or berries, just loving life! Best part is they share!

Chris Wilkins and his crew have been working on the roads up on the hill in Lowell. He ran into a hornet’s nest and got stung 100 times, almost like a cartoon but not funny. He went to the doc and got big anti-venom treatment, and then back to work he went. He’s on my good guy, tough guy list!

Well, school started in Kooskia, and football and volleyball, and all the other activities, so let’s get going and prepare for fall. It’s the season where everything is seasoned with pumpkin spice, and you have to can something every day for a month or you won’t make it through the winter. Remember to lock your car up or you’ll come back to a front seat full of zucchini.
