Not happy hospital has a drugstore

Letters to the Editor

I have been going to write this letter for the past few months.

I am not happy with our hospital having a drugstore. I can remember since I have been back on the river when we had two drugstores in Grangeville. Both times, one of them closed. I’m not sure of the reason, but it looks rather obvious to me. When you have one undercutting the other, something’s got to give. I know there are people who can’t afford their medication and I am all for helping them. We could be in that boat ourselves someday, but there are people who just love another government program and that is what this is, you know, and some of these people are able to work and pay their own way, but will not.

Would you rather have all the people who work in our drugstore go somewhere else to find a job? You might count how many that would be.

Please, folks, think about this. Our medications are not the only things we buy in our drugstore.

Just because it’s cheap does not always make it right.
