Six workshops, including three in Lewiston and one each in Grangeville, Moscow and Riggins, highlight the September offerings by the North Central Idaho Small Business Development Center at Lewis-Clark State College.
Topics for the workshops during the month include selling items on Amazon, social media, Quickbooks, accounting basics, starting a business, and small business innovation research funds.

Idaho County workshops include the following:
Sept. 18 will be a social media workshop in Riggins from 6-8 p.m., MDT, held at the Riggins City Council Chambers, located at 126 Main St. The fee is $10 and Gavin Lewis will be the instructor. The workshop will cover how a business can extend its market reach and find new customers using Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat to get a better rate of return on posts and ads.
A QuickBooks Basics workshop will be held in Grangeville on Sept. 26 at the LCSC Outreach Center in Grangeville, located at 201 E. Main St. The workshop will be taught by Janice Gobbi and has an $85 fee. The workshop runs 9 a.m.-4 p.m. There is room for eight students. The workshop will cover QuickBooks training fundamentals. Participants will learn how to add customers, vendors, products and services, and also manage and reconcile bank accounts and credit cards. The hands-on course is held in a computer lab where there will be training exercises with the instructor. Call 208-983-8302 to preregister.
