Grangeville girls soccer team wins its first

— The first high school girls soccer program in Idaho County checked off two more firsts Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 29. With a 4-1 win over Kellogg, Grangeville booked its first win, and with all four of those four goals, Naomi Connolley set a new individual single-game scoring record.

Connolley completed her third career hat trick during the first 52 minutes, finishing off passes from Illyana Barela and Bella Dame – and after Kellogg scored on a free kick, Connolley worked a give-and-go with Barela to score the fourth.

Grangeville (1-2) is set to host the Priest River girls at 2 p.m. Aug. 30, with the boys to play at 4 p.m.
