Advent services set for Trinity Lutheran Church

GRANGEVILLE — Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 N. Mill Street, will be host to a Wednesday night series of Advent services Dec. 5, 12 and 19, at 7 p.m. Prior to each service, a soup supper is held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

E-Free to be host to ladies Christmas party

GRANGEVILLE — Centennial E-Free Church, 408 N. College Street, will have a ladies Christmas party Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. with finger foods and gifts. Everyone is welcome. E-mail chickadeewing@gmail.com for info.

Christmas program is Dec. 9 at Riggins Assembly of God

RIGGINS — Riggins Assembly of God Children’s Christmas Program is Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Faith Lutheran in Kamiah sets activities for holiday season

KAMIAH — Faith Lutheran Church in Kamiah has several activities in December and everyone is welcome to attend worship services at 11 a.m every Sunday. Lighting an Advent candle and hearing a part of the Christmas story is part of each Sunday service.

A candlelight Christmas Eve communion service will be held Dec. 24, at 5 p.m. This will include Christmas carols and the “rest of the story” of the birth of Jesus. There will be a sack of treats for the children, with regular church service at 11 a.m.

Men’s Bible study still meet every Thursday at 7 a.m. at the bakery, and women’s Bible study group meets on Thursdays at 10 a.m. at the church.

The church will host a New Year’s Eve party with games, singing and food starting at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31. The church is located at 601 Idaho St. in Kamiah; call Pastor Gail Hart at 208-790-4515.

Encouragers set to meet for Christmas party Dec. 6

GRANGEVILLE — Encouragers will celebrate the season with their annual Christmas party Thursday, Dec. 6, at 11:30 a.m., at Pizza Factory in Grangeville. Christmas music will be offered by Myra Pierce, Pat Hunter, Susan Johnson and others. White elephant gifts will be exchanged.

Victoria Davis, of Kamiah, will speak about her work in crisis response ministry with Reach Global, the relief arm of the Evangelical Free Church organization. Davis manages teams of workers and interns, who help those whose homes have been ruined by hurricanes or floods and have no insurance. This ministry helps to restore homes and offers spiritual ministry to those in crisis.

Nativity play set for Summit

(St. John Bosco) Academy

COTTONWOOD — The Nativity Play is coming up at Summit Academy (soon changing to St. John Bosco) on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium. It will be based on “A Christmas Carol,” the story of Scrooge. Mrs. Gina Lustig has done an adaptation of that story. All the students in the school will have parts to play. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Gospel Tabernacle program

set for Dec. 16

GRANGEVILLE — Grangeville Gospel Tabernacle will hold its children’s Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 16, 6 p.m.

SPPS program is Dec. 19

GRANGEVILLE — Sts. Peter and Paul’s all-school Christmas program will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m.
