Summit falls to Nezperce

— Nezperce turned the offensive glass into a layup line during a 62-44 win over Summit Thursday night, Feb. 2.

Summit’s Clara Osborne hit five three-pointers along with a couple of foul shots, which added up to the individual game-high scoring total of 17 points Thursday night, Feb. 2. But Osborne’s output was equaled by Nezperce’s Kourtne Carpenter, and two other Nezperce players scored double-digits: Caitlyn Cronce (15 points) and Sydney Boyer (12).

Summit’s tournament season is set to continue against Logos at 6 p.m. Monday night, Feb. 5, at LCSC, followed by the Nezperce-Deary district title showdown – a shot at the district’s only automatic state berth – at 7:30 p.m. The district runner-up would have to win a play-in game to qualify for state; the runner up will be decided at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. The play-in is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Grangeville High School.
