— Treat your sweetheart to the Valentine’s Day Dinner at the VFW, Saturday, Feb. 10, from 5-7 p.m. There will be door prizes of photographs, carnations, and karaoke after dinner. The meal consists of steak, baked potatoes, dinner rolls and red velvet cake. Cost is $15 per person and you can sign up at the VFW, the Elk Summit Café, the Store, the Station or call 208-842-2393.

Dr. Peg Gehring from St. Mary’s Clinic will be up Tuesday, Feb. 20. Call 208-962-3267 for an appointment.

The “house call” vet will be here Feb. 8 and 9. Call Kim Wolfrum at 208-553-8283 for an appointment.

High Country Snowmobile Club will be having the Dixie X Games during Presidents weekend, Feb. 17-18. Sign-up is in the park between 10 a.m. and noon. The cost is $10 per team of a driver and passenger. Snowmobiles will be provided to run the course. To keep you all warm and energized, there will be food, a 50/50 Raffle, and lots of entertainment. Try your skills and physical condition in the Dash for Cash up the sledding hill. This event is for all ages.

On Sunday, hop on your snowmobile and ride to the free barbecue, although you can come anyway you wish. The club is providing lunch between noon and 4 p.m. A new fire pit and new gazebo have been installed at the rock pit on the Burpee intersection. See you all there!

Don’t forget the memorial service for Betty Nitz, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Baptist church. A potluck will follow. The community is invited.
