Prairie reaches play-in; Pirates to play Wallace Saturday in Post Falls

— Having lost to a Whitepine League foe for the first time all season in overtime the previous night, the Prairie girls salted away an early lead in their 43-29 victory over Genesee Wednesday night, Feb. 7. With Josie Peery posting a double-double – the team-high 17 points along with 12 rebounds – and with Jordyn Higgins (12 points, nine boards) coming close, Prairie led by double-digits at halftime and contained Genesee’s second-half surge.

The next landmark on the Pirates’ map to state qualification is at Post Falls High School, where they’ll play Wallace in an eliminator at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10.
