— A 17-year-old juvenile is undergoing treatment in Boise following a single-vehicle rollover accident south of Riggins Monday night, Feb. 12.

The crash was reported at approximately 7:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 95 at milepost 191.7, according to an Idaho State Police release. A 2001 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by the unidentified juvenile was traveling southbound when the driver apparently fell asleep and drove off the west side of the road, striking boulders. The vehicle flipped multiple times, coming to rest on its top in the roadway.

The juvenile was transported by ground EMS to St. Luke’s McCall Medical Center, then flown by air ambulance to St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center in stable condition. The driver was wearing a seat belt. There were no other occupants.
