Drug, alcohol trends program Friday in Kooskia

— The Cottonwood Police Department’s Drug and Alcohol Trends Education (DATE) Program will be presenting at Kooskia City Hall this Friday, Feb. 23, hosted by Kooskia EMS. The public is invited to attend this free event starting at 6:30 p.m.

The DATE program covers multiple topics to keep educators, medical staff, counselors, prevention providers coalitions, law enforcement, emergency responders, parents and community members aware of the ever-changing trends relating to drugs and alcohol.

Topics include over-the-counter medication, prescriptions, synthetics, concentrates, E-cigarettes, club drugs, new emerging drugs and alcohol beverages, energy drinks, alcopops, binge drinking, clothing, music, language, paraphernalia, technology, social media, youth impact concealment methods and devices.
