Levy meetings set for Mt. View, Kamiah districts

Monday public meeting on Kamiah district levy

KAMIAH – The public is invited to an informational meeting this Monday, March 5, on the proposed $500,000 Kamiah School District 304 levy.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m., Kamiah High School library.

Vote on the supplemental levy will be Tuesday, March 13.

According to board vice chair, Herman Yates, the levy would make up the shortfall as a result of Congress not renewing Secure Rural Schools (SRS) funding. He stated the trustees have used the balance of leftover SRS funding to support schools, and as of the end of the 2016-17 school year, those funds have been spent.
