Avista crews scrambled to restore service during a nearly three-day outage, Dec. 28-30, that impacted 651 customers.
The outage began Dec. 28 at 11 a.m., according to an Avista spokesman, with all services restored by Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. Heavy snow brought down lines and trees through lines, causing multiple issues. Crews would fix one problem, only to have another issue occur, resulting in personnel patrolling the lines on foot.
