— I hope you are enjoying the new year. The weather has been pretty mild. The temperature is staying pretty well in the 30s so the snow is melting, but no mud so far. The Cottonwood Butte Ski Area was closed this weekend, but keep checking with them so you can find out when they will be open again.

Engaged Encounter Weekends: The first Engaged Encounter Weekend for 2018 will be held January 19-21 at the Monastery of St. Gertrude. Catholic Engaged Encounter is approved for marriage preparation by the Diocese of Boise and is required in many parishes. 100 percent of attendees would recommend an EE weekend to other engaged couples. The next retreat will be held in April. Brochures and registration information is available at your parish office, or on our website: www.ceelewiston.org.
