OROFINO University of Idaho Extension is offering: Small Farms & Community Food Systems.
This workshop series focuses on topics that assist landowners in producing and marketing agriculture products that are sold locally. Topics include soils, vegetable production, growing tree fruit, processing and marketing, raising livestock, farmer’s markets, viticulture & many other topics.
Whether you are looking for additional ways to derive income from your property, or are thinking of starting a local agriculture business, this workshop series will offer information to help you reach your goals.

• Raising Poultry for Sale
January Spencer, Thor’s Forge Farms, Orofino, ID
Tuesday, Feb. 20:
• Marketing Locally Grown Agriculture Products to Restaurants, Grocery Stores, and Institutions

Pre-registration is highly encouraged to ensure seating availability and help plan for handouts and refreshments.
The program will be held on two consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m., on Feb. 13th and 20th at the Extension office conference room located at 2200 Michigan Ave. in Orofino, ID 83544. Registration is $5 each session per person. Mail registrations with payment to UI Extension Workshop Fund, 2200 Michigan Ave., Orofino, ID 83544 prior to the workshop.
Sign-in will begin at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Seating is limited to 24 people.
