Kamiah pair hurt in Jan. 23 crash at Craigmont



— Idaho State Police (ISP) is investigating a single-vehicle rollover accident last week on U.S. Highway 95.

Hallea J. Koun-Mcalister, 18, and passenger, Bobbie M. Sanford, 36, both of Kamiah, were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

The crash was reported Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 12:32 p.m., according to an ISP release. Koun-Mcalister was driving a 2005 Saturn Ion northbound when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway. The Saturn rolled and came to a stop upside down in Lapwai Creek. Both Mcalister and Sanford were wearing seat belts. The road was blocked for 45 minutes.
