Grangeville Senior Citizens

Stan Modrell opened the June 25 meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and Barbara Essen gave the prayer. Pastor Tom Helmick was the winner of the free dinner drawing. 62 meals were served at the site and 28 hot meals were home delivered. Guests were Julie Christianson and Contessa Heaton from Area Agency on Aging. Shirley Crane shared a story with the group. Pinochle Winners: Beth Parrish, first with 4,280 and Jane Burris, second with 3,390.

Stan Modrell opened the meeting of June 27 with the Pledge of Allegiance and Shirley Crane offered the prayer. Shirley also was the winner of the free dinner drawing. 36 meals were served at the site and 26 hot meals were home delivered.

Stan Modrell opened the June 29th meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the prayer was given by Shirley Crane. Barbara Henderson was the winner of the free dinner drawing. 66 meals were served at the site and 29 hot meals were home delivered. Guests were Carol Jean Schmidt, Carol Martin’s daughter. Pinochle Winners: Dolores Kindall, first with 5,320 and Jane Burgess, second with 3,900.

The meeting of July 2, was opened by Stan Modrell with the Pledge of Allegiance and the prayer offered by Sarah Carver. Christine Agee was the winner of the free dinner. 55 meals were served at the site and 29 hot meals were home delivered. Guests were Rhea Williams and Jim & Jill Henderson. Pinochle Winners: Marilyn Burris, first with 4,300 and Dolores Kindall, second with 4,260.

Menu for July 13th: Sweet & Sour Chicken, Rice, Green Salad w/Dressing, Mixed Vegetables, Applesauce and Roll

Menu for July 16th: Lasagna, Green Beans, Green Salad w/Dressing, Fruit Cocktail, Garlic Bread.

Pioneer Senior Citizens

Seniors wanting to go to Lewiston to shop or doctor’s appointments and don’t want to drive, call Coast driver Katie Manifold at 509-397-2935.

Come join us for a meal every Tuesday for a small donation at the Pioneer Senior Center in the Cottonwood Community Hall basement. Meals are served at 12 noon.

3 Rivers Amateur Radio Club

Field Day has come and gone. While the propagation on Saturday was not good, Sunday morning pushed our contact total to 208 - about what we have done the last few years.
