— All of the monthly meetings have passed so it is pretty quiet here in our little town.

I will have an update on the crawdad feed and the grand opening of The Hydrant when I return from vacation.

Join in the fun at the Canyon House on Friday, July 13, as Inland Cellular will be giving away free lattés from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The tower above the cemetery is up and running with 4G and Internet. Our little town now has cell service and along the Salmon River as the tower at Slate Creek is up and going, too.

Information about the cell service and packages available can be answered at this time.

The next concert series at Grangeville will feature the Hankers from Oaksdale, Wash. on July 19. Then on July 26 will be Muzzie Braun from Stanley, Idaho. Remember this is at 6 p.m., and no dogs are allowed in the park. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy some great music.

Saturday, the 21st, will be the Show & Shine in Orofino,” Hottest Little Show in Idaho,” and will feature automobile displays, food and artist venders, prize raffles, T-shirts sales and this is all free. This starts at 9 a.m. at the Orofino City Park.

Hot Summer Nights will be in Riggins on the 27th and 28th. This is also a fun venue to check out. Joaquin, Verna and Dave will be playing at the city park that weekend as well.

Rounding out the month will be Kooskia Days, also on July 27th and 28. They have a parade, kid events, food venders, and a street dance with live music.
