Encouragers to meet June 7 at Pizza Factory

GRANGEVILLE — Representative Priscilla Giddings will share at Encouragers Thursday, June 7, luncheon meeting, at Pizza Factory in downtown Grangeville. The Air Force Academy Top Gun winner, fighter pilot, Afghanistan combat veteran, and now reserve officer and state representative, draws from her vast experience to speak to the group. She was married last year to an army veteran, and they are expecting their first child soon.

The regular first Thursday event begins at 11:30 a. m., and all are welcome.

VBS, teen Bible study set for June 11-15

COTTONWOOD — June 11-15 are the dates for Emmanuel Baptist Church’s vacation Bible school.

Grab your megaphones, lace up your cleats, and tune up your horn. Join in for a week of preparing for life’s big game at Game On! Kids will begin each day at the pep rally, then gather at the field house where they will be equipped to dig deep into God’s Word. Each day kids will make crafts, play games, enjoy snacks, sing songs and learn about missions.

The church is located at 404 Foster Street, Cottonwood. Children age 4 through those in sixth grade are admitted free from 9 a.m. to noon each day, Monday, June 11, through Friday, June 15.

During the same week teenagers can experience Game On! with Bible study and special activities planned just for them from 6:30-8 p.m. Call Pastor Dan at 208-962-2407.

Open air community worship services set

GRANGEVILLE — An open air community worship service is set for Saturday, June 16, 7:30 p.m., at Pioneer Park in Grangeville.

There will also be a prayer ministry available.

VBS set for Grangeville Church of the Nazarene

GRANGEVILLE – Mark your calendars for June 18-21 when Grangeville Church of the Nazarene will have its annual vacation Bible school.

Children 4 years old through fifth grade are invited. The church is located at 515 W. N. 2nd Street. Call 208-983-0552.

VBS program is Thursday

GRANGEVILLE – Grangeville’s Gospel Tabernacle will hold its vacation Bible school program Thursday, June 7, 7 p.m., in the church sanctuary. The community is invited; refreshments to follow.

Miracle Mountain Camp to feature special camp speaker Julianna Goelzer

TOLLGATE – Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to Miracle Mountain Camp at Tollgate, 20 minutes outside of Grangeville, July 18-22.

This Christian camp will have as its guest speaker Julianna Goelzer who has been involved in ministry her entire life. She is the daughter of Dave and Tammi Sherman and the granddaughter of Billy and Joyce Wikoff.

The camp offers a variety of fun events and activities as well as studying God’s word.


Cornerstone Christian Learning Center (CCLC) held its end-of-school year program Wednesday, May 23, with children in preschool through grade two participating in a patriotic program. CCLC is located at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene, and is accepting enrollments for the coming school year, 2018-19. Students in preschool through third grade will be taught at the school which is located at 515 W. North Second Street (back lot entrance).
