Support overwhelming for donations to be taken to Jamaica

Letter to the Editor

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our request for the school supplies we will be taking to Jamaica this fall.

The support has been overwhelming.

The staff, students, and parents at Sts. Peter and Paul School filled an entire list of supplies for one of us! The first-grade students, and their teacher, from Nezperce donated books and other supplies. We received a large box of supplies delivered via Amazon from an anonymous donor. Other individuals have given various supplies for the students to use. Individuals and organizations from Elk City, Dixie, McCall, and Grangeville have given us money that will be used to purchase items needed for our specific classroom lessons or to help with shipping costs.

We appreciate Lorie Palmer and the Free Press for telling our story. We, and the students of Jamaica, are blessed to have your support. Thank you.

Steve and Lynnel Wassmuth
