Campers are headed up the Selway Road and Highway 12 to pick out their camp spots. The big 4th of July week (and I say week because the holiday falls on a Wednesday) will have come and gone before many read this. We will have had a busy week up river.
Luckily, we had good weather, not too hot, not too cold, just perfect. The Wilderness Inn was busy serving meals, Three Rivers had camping and cabins full, and down at Syringa everything was busy as well.
Rafting was fun with the river level perfect for whitewater. Barbecues, watermelon, corn on the cob, s’mores, all just devoured around campfires with even a pan full of fried fish for any fishermen who got lucky.
We are really into summertime fun now and it looks like a good one!
