Grangeville grows from events like this

Letter to the Editor

I just want to express my sincere appreciation for our Syringa Hospital, Bill Spencer and the volunteer EMTs for the Annual Spring Fling this past weekend.

They bring nearly 300 people to town who stay in our hotels and eat in our restaurants and shop in our shops!

Their efforts to bring new technology and practices to those who are there in an emergency to help us all 24/7 is a real blessing. Our volunteer EMTs set aside their time to be “on call,” just waiting to fix us if we need fixing when we break.

Our hospital has come a long way and this annual event is a big boost to our town and I hope our EMTs know how much we appreciate them because they “are always there for us.”

Thank you Syringa and our town for rolling out a “red carpet” in support for these kinds of events and its infusion of dollars that pay wages and increase our viability. Grangeville is a strong community with some very fine businesses that are only poised to grow and prosper from events like this and our hospitality.
