Vander Esch cements his status

Salmon River High alum and former Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch measured up to the enormous interest in his NFL combine performance last weekend.

Per USA Today: “With Virginia Tech's Tremaine Edmunds sitting out much of the athletic testing, Vander Esch was perhaps the standard setter among linebackers....He should now be squarely in the first-round conversation.”

Per CBS Sports: “Vander Esch ran 4.65 at slightly over 6-4 and 256 pounds. He proceeded to crush the rest of his workout....His 4.15 in the short shuttle was an awesome time too. He can now be classified as a combine freak.”
