— The Clearwater Valley boys took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first at the refurbished Rams' field, where the local baseball season began Friday, March 9. Cole Valley Christian chopped it to 2-1 in the top of the third and the visitors pulled ahead 3-2 as daylight dwindled during the fourth. A five-run fifth proved decisive, as the Chargers went on to win by a 10-4 final. The same teams are set to take the field again Saturday, March 10, in what will be a double-header for the Chargers.

Cole Valley is set to play Grangeville at 11 a.m., with their rematch against the Rams to follow at about 2 p.m.
