COTTONWOOD On March 8, a very unusual occurrence happened in the Westlake area. If the conditions are just right, the wind will blow snow and roll it into snowballs like it shows in the picture. Some of these snowballs were about 12 inches in diameter. This is not something you get to see every day!
The Lincoln Day Celebration was well-attended at Greencreek on Friday evening. Elected officials as well as those running for office were in attendance. People interested in electing good people to office who will care about the people they represent were also there. Everyone had an opportunity to talk to them and tell them their thoughts.
Lenten Penance Services: St. Mary’s, Cottonwood, on March 21, at 7 p.m. Other Lenten Penance Service in the Deanery at 7 p.m.: Grangeville March 27; Nezperce March 28. There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Fr. Paul will be hearing confessions on Thursday, March 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Greencreek.
Father Reuben Nuxoll will be home visiting. Watch Mass schedule for changes in the schedule during his visit. An additional Mass this week will be Saturday, March 17, at 10 a.m., St. Mary’s.
